It is located on the Kurupelit Campus and provides education and service with two separate buildings. As of today the faculty has 22 departments, 14 of them have complete laboratory infrastructure and started giving service with its professional staff.
Animal hospital, which was put into service in 2010, has the advantage of being the only animal hospital in Black Sea Region of Turkey. There is a mobile clinic car provides clinical application services for remote areas and a fully equipped central cafeteria in front of the faculty's main building.
Our faculty have accomplished quality requirements, achieved national standards and recently gained two years accreditation after an examination on February 2018 by "The Examination and Accreditation Association of Establishments for Veterinary Education and Programme (VEDEK)". Preparations are being made and application process for "The European Association of Establishment for Veterinary Education (EAEVE)" is planned to be started soon.
Our students and staff participate actively in the ERASMUS, FARABI and MEVLANA exchange programs. Most of our faculty staff gave lectures around the world under the ERASMUS exchange program and other programs. Some of our students went to Germany, Austria, Poland, England and Italy for courses and internship under ERASMUS program. In this context, ongoing efforts are being made to increase exchange number and more students and academic staff expected to benefit from these agreements. Our faculty also has agreement with most of national veterinary faculties to send and accept students from different faculties under a national exchange program named as FARABI.
