Department of Veterinary Pharmacology and Toxicology

General Description

Pharmacology-Toxicology is the science of drugs including their origin, composition, pharmacokinetics, therapeutic use and the study of the nature, effects, and detection of poisons (toxins) and the treatment of poisoning.
Our aim is to teach students characteristics and use of drugs and other substances used in the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of diseases in animal species based on modern science and technology.
There is a research laboratory both for chromatography applications and education and a cell culture laboratory located in our department.



Research Interests

Chromatography, pesticides, persistent organic pollutants, pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics and cell culture are some of our research topics.
